The NorthWest Scale Championships event is designed to showcase the enormous talent and abilities of the scale builders and pilots who live in the NorthWest corner of North America. However our event is open to everyone no matter where you might call home.

2012 NorthWest Scale Championships - Event Information - more to be added!

We are diligently working to finalize all of the event details and activities; we will not post a flyer and information pack until these details have been finalized. However in the meantime we will post what we have already completed here so you can use this for planning purposes. All definitive information about this event will only be made available here... if you get it from somewhere else it may not be official!

                        Registration:
Non Current NWSAM Members:      $40.00 per entry
Current NWSAM Members:            $30.00 per entry

We will make a short contestants information form available soon; we would like for you to complete this form and provide a picture of your plane so it can be used in the official event program that will be sold during the event. You will have the choice to either e-mail the form and picture or send it to us through normal USPS mail. (More on this will be made available)

Pilots will also be asked at random to sit at an autograph signing station for a few minutes during the event and sign programs for the spectators. We will not ask you sit there for too long; however a few minutes signing your photo in the program goes along way toward continuing to build our public image. Besides... it can be a great deal of fun too!

                        Picture
This is the official artwork of the 2012 NorthWest Scale Championships.

This Artwork was specifically designed for this event and jointly approved by NWSAM and Red Apple Flyers. You will see this artwork show up on all materials pertaining to this event exclusively!

The Westland Lysander was a British army co-operation and liaison aircraft produced by Westland Aircraft used immediately before and during the Second World War. After becoming obsolete in the army co-operation role, the aircraft's exceptional short-field performance enabled clandestine missions using small, unprepared airstrips behind enemy lines to place or recover agents, particularly in occupied France. Like other British army air co-operation aircraft it was given the name of a mythical or legendary leader, in this case the Spartan general Lysander.
